Civil War and US Fort Duffield

Construction was 1861-1862 of Fort Duffield

The Terrain is all up hill, and it was quite a hike to both
the Fort and to the Cemetery. Good place for a Fort and lookout!

One can imagine battles down on the Valley floor.
